Our Mission

At iTalk, our mission is to enhance mental fitness and performance while reducing the impact of mental ill-health in the workplace. We are committed to decreasing absenteeism and presenteeism, minimizing the associated costs, and ambitiously striving to reduce suicide rates, moving towards our goal of Zero!!!

Following a suicide on a London construction site iTalk were approached to create a safe place for workers to go if they were struggling or needed support. Our findings led to a comprehensive suite of mental health services, all seamlessly supported by our innovative mental health app. Our unique approach combines evidence-based practices with personalised, in-person training, emphasising prevention over cure as the foundation of our core programs. This integrated strategy ensures that individuals not only receive support but are also equipped with the tools necessary to proactively maintain their mental well-being.

The iTalk team come with lived experience, specialist knowledge in suicide prevention and a wealth of support and collaboration with various organisations and charities. Darren Barden our CEO is also a Best-Selling Author with his book “Let’s Skip to the Good Bits” where he shares his lived experience and how he rebuilt his life following a frenzied and brutal knife attack in his own home.

iTalk believe with their unique system and ability they will stop the upward trend of suicides in the construction industry and getting them turning in a downward trend heading towards zero!!
